Return and Refund Policy

Right of withdrawal for the consumer buyer

Refusing to accept the package is not sufficient to express your intention to withdraw from the contract. Any refusal to accept the package will automatically invalidate your right of withdrawal and will not result in any reshipment by us. You will be responsible for retrieving the package yourself.


To be eligible for a return and full refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. A deduction may apply depending on how the item has been used.

To make a return, you must provide us with a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where any refund will be systematically refused: (if applicable)

* Any irreparable damage to the hardware, disassembly even partial of the hardware, any physical modification (disabling the safe shutdown button, changing the fan, etc.) or of the system such as erasing the system or its contents, activating overclocking, removing the SD card protected by a tamper-evident seal from the case without having been invited to do so by a technician and in writing, adding themes or ROMs from outside our catalog directly onto the SD card or performing an update without consulting us to verify its reliability will void your warranty and, where applicable, your right of withdrawal.

Refunds: (if applicable)
Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will send you an email to confirm receipt. We will also inform you of our decision regarding the approval or rejection of your refund request.
If your request is approved, then your refund, in whole or in part, will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 14 business days (excluding your bank's processing time).

Late or missing refunds: (if applicable)
If you have not yet received your refund, please check your bank account again first.
Next, contact your credit card issuer, as there may be a delay before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often a processing time required before a refund is posted.

Exchanges: (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. If you wish to exchange it for the same item, please email us at contact@retroxmania.com

Gifts:
If the returned item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once we receive the returned item, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item was not marked as a gift at the time of purchase, or if the gift giver preferred to receive the item first to give it to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be notified that you returned the item.

Shipping:
To return a product, you must send it by mail to: Retroxmania, Returns Department, 24 rue Paul Doumer, 78510 Triel-sur-Seine , France – accompanied by the following form, completed, dated and signed:

"I/we hereby notify you of my/our withdrawal from the contract for the sale of the goods/for the provision of services described below:"

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs to return your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it takes to receive your exchanged product may vary.

If you are shipping an item worth more than €50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Digital products and the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied on an intangible medium (such as downloadable files, access to an online platform, PDF guides, software, etc.) when performance has begun after the consumer's prior express agreement and express waiver of their right of withdrawal.

By validating their digital product order on the Retroxmania.com website, the customer:

  • acknowledges that access to the content or downloading will take place immediately after payment confirmation;
  • expressly accepts that the service may begin before the expiry of the legal withdrawal period;
  • expressly waives their right of withdrawal.

Consequently, no refund can be demanded after order confirmation and delivery of the digital product.
